One Month Old

Nothing really new to report on our end. Oh, except that Addy had her one month birthday! We celebrated by going out to dinner last Saturday while Regan, Ryan and Josh (mainly Regan I presume) watched baby Addy. It was nice to get out for an hour or two.

Adelynd is becoming much more alert and fun these days and is making lots of new faces. She doesn't really feel the need to sleep, or be put down at all, so I am excited to go to Kansas City where there are lots of arms to share in the fun!

Here are some new pictures to take a look at...

Oh- one other feat- she grew a second chin. Nice work!

Happy Father's Day!!

We celebrated Eric's first Father's Day today! Adelynd wore her "I love Daddy" onesie for the walk to the farmer's market. Unfortunately, she had a blow out before Eric got back from fishing to see her ode to Dad and after a much needed bath, she was in outfit number 2. It is another of our favorite outfits that we thought cute enough to celebrate fatherhood. At least that one lasted for a while until it was time to put her in her jammies. The poo really never ends.

Although the onesie didn't work for Father's Day, Addy's curls will have to suffice as an homage to her Dad. They are coming back in a very cute way!

She likes to sleep during the day and is very cute when she does!

She is getting very LONG and skinny just like her dad...

Our first weekend alone

Adelynd and I survived our first solo adventure while Eric spent time in Washington D.C. for work. I have to say- we not only survived but passed with flying colors. Luckily, our great friend Stacy was in town to keep us company. It was a good trade off. I think Eric missed the little one though, enough to miss the opening day at the Arsenal to spend time with Addy on his first day back. While Eric spent time with Addy, it was a very welcomed opportunity for Stacy and I to hit the pool. Although I missed her, it was really nice to get away. Eric and Addy had fun but I think he was glad when we returned.

We are learning all sorts of new things... how to shop with a little one, how to effectively use a sling, how to go to dinner with friends (thanks to Liz for a tasty meal!), how to go to the grocery store with a car seat, how to bottle feed her in public. We may be getting the hang of this whole baby thing. I think we may keep little Adelynd.

I the meantime, we are glad Eric is back. Life is more entertaining with him around for sure. Oh, and for those who are concerned- Greg and Eric hit the Arsenal this morning, one day after opening day.

You will notice Addy is wearing her new party dress to dinner with Stacy at the Trotters (above).

3 Generations

Here is a really cute picture of when mom (Mimi) was out. It is right outside of BonaKemi.
